WEB DESK: The player auction for the 2024 Lanka Premier League (LPL) concluded today with nine Pakistani cricketers set to participate in the tournament, which begins on July 1 in Pallekele, Sri Lanka.
During the auction, various franchises secured the services of several Pakistani players. Notably, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris (B-Love Kandy) and all-rounder Shadab Khan (Colombo Strikers) were pre-signed before the auction, while seven other players were picked up during the event.
The Colombo Strikers acquired fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jnr for $20,000. The Dambulla Thunders signed Iftikhar Ahmed for $50,000 and Haider Ali for $25,000.
B-Love Kandy strengthened their squad by adding Azam Khan for $50,000 and Mohammad Hasnain for $30,000. They also secured Agha Salman and Mohammad Ali, each for $10,000.
