Nawaz Sharif submits application in NAB for acquittal in Toshakhana case

PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif submitted a request for acquittal in the Toshakhana case at an Islamabad accountability court on Tuesday. The plea was filed by Nawaz’s lawyer, Rana Muhammad Arif Khan. The case involves several accused individuals, including President Asif Ali Zardari, who currently holds presidential immunity, and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. The prosecutor representing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) informed the court that he would forward the application to NAB headquarters for further consideration.

On Tuesday, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif filed a plea for exoneration in the Toshakhana case at an accountability court in Islamabad. The application was submitted by Nawaz’s legal representative, Rana Muhammad Arif Khan. This case implicates multiple individuals, including President Asif Ali Zardari, who currently enjoys presidential immunity, and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. The prosecutor representing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) informed the court that he would transmit the plea to NAB headquarters for review.
