By PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif submitted a request for acquittal in the Toshakhana case at an Islamabad accountability court on Tuesday. The plea was filed by Nawaz’s lawyer, Rana Muhammad Arif Khan. The case involves several accused individuals, including President Asif Ali Zardari, who currently holds presidential immunity, and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. The prosecutor representing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) informed the court that he would forward the application to NAB headquarters for further consideration.
