The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has greenlit a feasibility study for the construction of a Skywalk Glass Bridge in Murree, which could significantly enhance the area’s tourism potential.
This decision was made during the PDWP’s 41st meeting, where a budget of Rs13.24 million was allocated to assess the project’s viability.

Chairing the meeting, Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Awan also approved funding of Rs12.042 billion for various non-formal education projects throughout Punjab. This funding will support educational programs in central, southern, and northern regions, with allocations of Rs3.256 billion, Rs5.154 billion, and Rs3.604 billion, respectively.
Furthermore, the P&D Board sanctioned Rs15.3 million for the development of dossiers on potential World Heritage Sites, such as the ancient city of Harappa and the historic Hiran Minar.
Senior board members, including P&D Secretary Dr Asif Tufail and Chief Economist Masood Anwar, participated in the meeting, which focused on advancing Punjab’s development initiatives in education and tourism.
