Following Supreme Court of Pakistan’s order, Monal Islamabad has announced its permanent closure. In an announcement on Instagram, it stated, “It’s time to say Goodbye.”

Monal Islamabad announced that following the Supreme Court’s order, it will be closing on 11 September this year. “Dear valued customers, thank you for your trust and for giving us a chance to serve you to the best of our abilities, for giving us recognition, appreciation and a place in your heart,” the statement added.

It is pertinent to mention that the supreme court had ordered the closure of Monal and all other restaurants in the Margalla Hills National Park in Islamabad. 

Pakistan test squad for Bangladesh series announced

Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa had rejected the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) report and ordered the closure of all restaurants within 90 days.

The Supreme Court ruled that the National Park cannot be used for commercial activities and directed that affected restaurants be considered for land leasing outside the National Park.
