Mohsin Naqvi hints at big changes in Pakistan Cricket Team

Expressing disappointment after the national team’s defeat in a crucial match against India, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that the team requires a major overhaul, not just minor adjustments.

Naqvi remarked, “It seemed that the cricket team could manage with minor changes, but today’s extremely poor performance has convinced us that a major overhaul is needed.”

He emphasised the need to prepare the team for the Champions Trophy 2025 and said, “The time has come to give a chance to new talent sitting on the sidelines.” Naqvi expressed his determination to transform the Pakistani cricket team into one of the world’s best, acknowledging the internal issues and reasons behind the recent losses.

The PCB Chairman noted that the nation does not expect such disappointing performances from its cricket team.
