Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Rana Sanaullah, who also advises the Prime Minister on political and public affairs, stated that the roles of Ministry of Interior and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman are full-time positions.
He advised Mohsin Naqvi to choose which role to retain. During an interview, Sanaullah highlighted the problem of political interference in sports organizations, where influential individuals often hold important positions without merit.
Rana Sanaullah further claimed that individuals who cannot secure positions in other institutions often use their influence to gain roles in reputable sports organizations. “These individuals are so powerful that if I want to take a stand, the entire system would be shaken,” he stated.

On the political front, Rana Sanaullah stated that the current cooperation with Maulana Fazlur Rehman is not an alliance but a working relationship.
He also addressed accusations against Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed, who is alleged to have used his influence for the appointment of the Army Chief and other key positions, possibly with the support of PTI.
Sanaullah suggested that if these accusations are true, the founder of PTI would also be implicated.
