Mohsin Dawar has strongly criticised the actions of the Pakhtunkhwa police under the PTI-led government, condemning their crackdown on the peaceful jirga camp set up by the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).
According to Dawar, the police have destroyed tents and equipment at the camp and are using force against PTM members.
In a statement, Dawar expressed outrage over the situation, calling it “beyond shameful” how the PTI government in Pakhtunkhwa is handling the peaceful assembly.

He pointed out the irony of PTI complaining about facing brutality in Punjab, while simultaneously using violent tactics against peaceful demonstrators in Pakhtunkhwa.
Beyond shameful how the Pakhtunkhwa police under PTI's govt are cracking down on PTM's Jarga camp. They have destroyed their tents and equipment and are using force against PTM's members. PTI complains about facing brutality in Punjab while perpetrating violence in Pakhtunkhwa.

The PTM had organised the jirga camp as part of its ongoing efforts to advocate for the rights of Pashtun people, with members peacefully voicing their concerns. However, the recent crackdown has sparked widespread criticism from PTM leaders and rights activists.
It should be recalled that just recently, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur issued a strong warning to the Punjab police, stating that any further violence against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers would not be tolerated.
