ISLAMABAD: Two Saudi Arabian diplomats were robbed in Islamabad by unidentified men, according to a police complaint filed on Monday. This marks the third incident targeting foreigners in the capital within the past couple of weeks.

The incident occurred while the diplomats were walking in Hill View Park. Men aged around 30-35, riding two motorcycles, approached and robbed them of two iPhone 15 Pros. The first information report, filed at Margalla Police Station, detailed the incident.

Saudi Attaché Khalid bin Modhi Al Toom lodged the complaint, stating that each phone was valued at Rs300,000. One suspect was armed with a dagger and the other with a firearm. The robbers forcibly took the mobile phones and demanded the passwords before fleeing towards Centaurus Mall.

In response to the incident, the police have cordoned off the area but have not yet apprehended the suspects. The case has been registered under Section 392 (punishment for robbery) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The Inspector General of Islamabad Police has formed four special teams to investigate, with SP (Operations) assigned a special task to expedite the investigation.
