Meta is expanding the capabilities of its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, MetaAI, across apps like WhatsApp and Instagram, introducing new features including voice commands and advanced image editing tools, as reported by media.
At the Yetta Connect conference, the company announced that users will soon be able to interact with MetaAI through voice commands, with the assistant mimicking the voices of famous personalities such as John Cena. These enhancements aim to make MetaAI more interactive and accessible, offering quick answers to questions and other assistance.

New image editing features for Instagram and WhatsApp
In addition to voice chat, Meta is introducing new image editing features powered by MetaAI across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. Users will be able to edit photos, add or remove objects, and make adjustments simply through voice commands.
The AI assistant will handle tasks like changing backgrounds or modifying elements in photos without requiring any written instructions.
These new updates, built on the Lama 3.2 model, are set to be rolled out to users in the coming weeks, according to Meta. The company continues to evolve its AI tools, aiming to enhance user experience across its platforms.
