In a recent discussion with journalists, PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat raised questions regarding the legality of Azam Swati’s reported early morning meeting with Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.

Marwat pointed out that, by law, meetings in jails cannot occur at 7am, as official visiting hours only begin at 9am. He noted that typically, meetings are scheduled for 2pm on Thursdays.

Marwat expressed his lack of awareness about the details of the meeting, highlighting that he himself had just navigated a difficult situation and confirmed that no meetings are held at 7am in the jail.

Previously, Marwat had mentioned his intention to visit Tarnol to thank attendees who traveled from distant areas for a rally.

He revealed that he had two options: either defy Khan’s order and call off the rally or attend the rally personally to express gratitude. Marwat stated he would voluntarily surrender to the police if required, dismissing any intimidation by showing of weapons, indicating he was not afraid of such tactics.
