The petrol prices are expected to reduce by Rs12 per litre in the prices of petroleum products, Lahore News has reported on current calculations, that petrol, diesel, and kerosene may become cheaper.

Sources indicate that the price of diesel could decrease by up to Rs8.5 per litre, while the price of petrol could drop by more than Rs9 per litre.

Additionally, kerosene prices might also see a reduction of more than Rs12.

The final summary regarding the prices of petroleum products will be sent to Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on August 15, and the new prices will be announced following consultations with the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister.

Earlier this month, petrol prices were reduced by Rs6.17 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs269.43. High-speed diesel also saw a decrease, with its price falling by Rs10.86 to Rs272.77 per litre. Light-speed diesel prices were cut by Rs5.72, now standing at Rs160.53 per litre. Additionally, kerosene oil prices dropped by Rs6.32, setting the new rate at Rs177.39 per litre for the first half of August.
