Meeting at a Birthday Party
Maira Khan explained that she was taken to a birthday party by a friend, where she met her future husband. They exchanged phone numbers, and within two weeks, she was married.
“I had no idea what was happening. The next thing I knew, I was married,” Maira Khan revealed. “It was only after the wedding, when I went to my husband’s house, that I found out I was his third wife.”
A Childhood Marriage
At the time of her marriage, Maira Khan was only 15 or 16 years old. She recounted living with her in-laws, with her mother residing with her upstairs while her in-laws lived downstairs.
“I can never forget those 7 to 8 years. My mother was always with me during that time,” she said.
A Turning Point
Maira Khan recalled a significant incident that led her to leave her husband’s house. “There was a fight, and my mother was pushed around. I decided then that I couldn’t stay there any longer.”
She told her mother, “If we stay here, you’ll spend your whole life being beaten. Let’s leave.” That night, they left the house with just a bag and some money. “I never looked back after that,” she stated.

In the clip, Maira Khan expressed her deep sensitivity towards her mother. “Everything I’ve done has been for my mother. I can’t bear to see anything bad happen to her.”
