WEB DESK: Yesteryear Bollywood superstar Preity Zinta has recently showered praise on her former co-star Manisha Koirala for her remarkable performance in the series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.”

Taking to social media, Manisha penned a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for the success of the series and the positive feedback she’s been receiving for her portrayal of a strong character.

In response, the Veer Zaara actress expressed her admiration for Manisha, describing her as “a powerhouse of talent” and “an even better human being.” Recalling their time working together on the romantic thriller Dil Se back in 1998, Preity reminisced about how Manisha had been incredibly supportive and welcoming, setting a positive tone for her film journey.

In her message, Preity emphasised Manisha’s humility and kindness on set, noting how she never made her feel like she was working with a superstar. She credited Manisha for nurturing her and being open to rehearsals and suggestions, both on and off camera. Manisha reciprocated the affection, calling Preity a sweetheart.

“Heeramandi” is a period drama directed by renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which delves into the lives of courtesans in pre-partition Lahore. Alongside Manisha Koirala, the series features a stellar cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Currently streaming on Netflix, the series has garnered attention for its compelling storyline and stellar performances.
