During a chat with Iffat Omar, Yasir Hussain, filled with pride, addressed a question about whether Iqra Aziz’s soaring fame affects him. In his candid response, Yasir expressed why he remains unfazed by his wife’s success, emphasizing his joy and support for all her accomplishments.
Yasir elaborated, “Firstly, I come from a theatre background. Since I was 16, I’ve been deeply involved in theatre. Though I took a break from it, I’ve now returned. In theatre, you develop a profound understanding of art. You perform in front of a live audience who either appreciates or criticizes you right then and there. There’s no lingering fame; people forget about you after the show.”
He continued, “In theatre, ego and the pursuit of fame don’t take root. All you crave is applause for your work, not for yourself. Theatre teaches you selflessness. When you’re selfless, you don’t concern yourself with who’s more famous. I’m grateful to have the fans I want.”
The actor also revealed his decision to transfer his Islamabad apartment to Iqra, officially putting her name on the documents. When he shared this with a friend, the friend expressed concern about what would happen if Iqra were to leave him. Yasir’s response was simple yet profound: if he lost his wife, the apartment would hold little significance compared to the loss of their relationship, emphasizing the immense value he places on their marriage.
