MUMBAI: Bollywood actors Tabu and Shah Rukh Khan left an indelible mark on audiences with their brief but memorable pairing in the film Saathiya. Despite fans eagerly awaiting their on-screen reunion, it has yet to come to fruition.

In a recent interview with Galatta India, Tabu addressed the much-anticipated question of why she and Shah Rukh Khan haven’t collaborated on another project. The acclaimed actress clarified that she has no control over the film offers received by either of them. “I am not a producer, I am not a director, I am not a scriptwriter, I am really not dictating who Shah Rukh Khan works with,” she explained.

Acknowledging the numerous fan requests for their reunion, Tabu revealed that there have been several instances where potential projects fell through. “I know what I have refused, and I am sure he has also refused a few. Aisa kuchh hua nahin ke our paths crossed,” she shared.

Tabu also reminisced about her experience filming the iconic song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ for Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Om Shanti Om. In an earlier interview with Zoom, she expressed gratitude for the generous gifts she received from the superstar. “A lot of people want to see us together. There was a shot that all of us did. I did it for Farah, and yeah, it was great fun. They made me some great clothes, great hair and makeup, and we got very expensive gifts from Shah Rukh Khan,” she said.

While fans continue to hope for their on-screen reunion, it remains uncertain when or if this beloved pair will share the screen again.
