WEB DESK: Actress Sanam Saeed has found herself embroiled in controversy after praising the Punjab government, drawing criticism from supporters of a particular political party. PTI followers took to social media, accusing her and other celebrities of being paid to endorse Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s administration. After nearly a week of accusations, Sanam decided to address her critics.
The controversy ignited when she was questioned about disabling comments on her previous post. Responding, Sanam said, “I don’t think you guys know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of the stick. I know my intentions and my stance. But I have to save my nerves unfiltered wrath.”

Several stars from the entertainment industry, including Sanam Saeed, Saboor Aly, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Saba Faisal, and Aima Baig, among others, had earlier commended the Government of Punjab and its initiatives over the past 100 days. However, facing backlash, many celebrities began removing their posts and disabling comments.
Content creator Hamza Bhatti mentioned on LinkedIn that he too received a call from CM Punjab’s team regarding PR activities. Meanwhile, travel YouTuber Wildlens by Abrar alleged on Instagram that influencers and celebrities were promoting the Punjab government due to substantial monetary incentives.
