Sabrina Carpenter’s newest music video for her single “Taste” offers fans a visually captivating experience, packed with tributes to iconic horror films.

Released on August 23 as part of her album Short n’ Sweet, the video showcases Carpenter’s love for cinema, blending chilling elements with dark humor in a way that nods to some of the most memorable moments in horror history.

Directed by Dave Meyers, “Taste” partners Carpenter with Gen Z horror icon Jenna Ortega to tell a story of revenge. Sabrina Carpenter plays a character seeking vengeance against her ex-boyfriend, portrayed by Rohan Campbell, and his new girlfriend, played by Ortega.

The three-minute video spirals into a bloody yet comedic showdown, featuring a series of gruesome encounters that culminate in a body-swapping scene where Ortega’s character inadvertently cuts her boyfriend in half.

The video concludes with Sabrina Carpenter and Ortega’s characters walking off together, having bonded over their twisted ordeal. Carpenter delivers the final line, “You kill me,” perfectly capturing the video’s playful and tongue-in-cheek tone.
