WEB DESK: Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2 continues its remarkable success at the global box office, having grossed over ₹1300 crore. This achievement has propelled the film past major contenders, including the 2022 blockbuster KGF Chapter 2, starring Kannada actor Yash, which earned around ₹1215 crore.
Not only has Pushpa 2 surpassed KGF Chapter 2, but it has also outperformed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, further solidifying its place in the global box office rankings. Despite having been released only 11 days ago, the film’s earnings continue to soar, showcasing its immense popularity.
Apart from box office success, the film has gained attention due to Allu Arjun’s recent arrest, which was later revealed to be a publicity stunt to boost the film’s promotion. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma confirmed that the arrest was orchestrated to increase the film’s visibility and earnings.
However, something went wrong on the evening of the film’s show, when a stampede resulted in the death of a woman, and now legal proceedings are underway, but the court granted Allu Arjun bail, as well as the film managed to maintain its box-office dominance.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 hit the screens on December 5, and in just 11 days, it has earned over ₹1300 crore. This is a clear reflection of the film’s vast appeal and success.
