In a first, a case has been filed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) on Friday regarding the circulation of an inappropriate viral video of a transgender person who goes by the name of Dolphin Ayan on social media in Peshawar.

The complaint was filed at the Hajj Nagar police station against seven suspects involved in the case. The claimant stated in the FIR that the viral video has severely damaged their and their family’s reputation and dignity.

According to AAJ News, Ayan was abducted at gunpoint in Shabqadar in 2023. They took the alleged victim to their room and created the compromising video, subsequently using it for blackmailing purposes.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) operations Peshawar has announced that law enforcement is actively conducting raids to apprehend the suspects to assure the public that they will be arrested soon.
