WEB DESK: The much-anticipated release date of Mirzapur Season 3 has been unveiled. The popular web series is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video starting July 5.

Amazon Prime Video has been teasing fans with videos and posts hinting at the release date of the upcoming installment. In a recent post, Pankaj Tripathi, who portrays Kaleen Bhaiya in the series, assured fans that they won’t have to wait until September 2024 for the new season.

Mirzapur’s storyline centers around Kaleen Bhaiya, a crimelord running a carpet business as a facade, and the Pandit brothers, Guddu and Bablu. The series’ first season received widespread acclaim for its compelling narrative and stellar performances, while the second season continued to captivate audiences with its twists and turns.

Filming for season 3 commenced in July 2023, sparking anticipation among fans eager for details about the next chapter. At an event hosted by Prime Video on March 19, the first look of the third season was unveiled, further fueling excitement.

During the event, it was revealed that the third season will maintain the essence of the debut season while introducing new characters and bidding farewell to some familiar faces. The upcoming season promises to be even more thrilling, with Pankaj Tripathi reprising his role as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal returning as Guddu Pandit, Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi, and Shweta Tripathi Sharma as Gajgamini Golu Gupta.

“With Season 3, the stakes have gone notches higher and the canvas has become bigger,” stated Prime Video, as reported by Variety. “However, the rules remain the same while all eyes are on the coveted throne in the fictional world of Mirzapur. The big question prevails whether the throne of Mirzapur will be earned or snatched in a battle of power and dominance where trust is a luxury that no one can afford.”
