LAHORE: A renowned TikToker and family vlogger Rajab Butt, currently the talk of the town for his lavish wedding, has received extravagant gifts during the four to five days wedding ceremony.
Butt, who amassed a massive 4.25 million following on YouTube, started his digital journey just a few years ago and is now the most celebrated family vlogger in the country.
Earlier this week, Rajab Butt tied the knot with Eman, a social media influencer, in a luxurious wedding ceremony in Lahore where numerous TikTokers and social media celebrities were invited.
The groom was showered with extravagant wedding presents including a lion cub, a full-family Umrah trip, the latest iPhone with a gold-plated cover, a gun, and a bouquet of dollars, which have been circulating widely on social media.
Additionally, Rajab and his friends showered a large sum of money on the guests in attendance and on Qawali singers during the Dholki night.
The display of wealth sparked a flurry of comments from internet users and public outcry against the extravagance. Some fans cheered at this grandeur, while others called it a cheap and shallow show of wealth.
Several fans criticised the lavish spending and the extravagant nature of the event, questioning why such funds were being used in a society where many are struggling to meet basic needs.
Earlier, internet users also criticised Rajab Butt for illegally accepting a lion cub. The excessive show-off displayed during the wedding has also been widely condemned by fans.
Following the conclusion of wedding-related events, Lahore police along with the Wildlife Department arrested Butt for keeping the lion cub illegally at his residence and for the public display of a weapon.
