WEB DESK: Today marks the second anniversary of Sidhu Moosewala’s death, the celebrated Punjabi singer and rapper often hailed as the ‘King of the Punjabi music industry’ and the ‘Heartthrob of Young Hearts’.

Tragic Murder

Sidhu Moosewala, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was brutally murdered on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village, Mansa district. The attack, involving over 30 bullets, left the music world and his fans in shock.

Mastermind Behind the Murder

Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious mobster, was later identified as the mastermind behind the murder. Moosewala, also a political activist, ran unsuccessfully for office in Mansa on a Congress ticket. He had long been a target of Bishnoi’s anger.

Delayed Justice

Despite numerous arrests, Indian police have yet to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators. In memory of Sidhu Moosewala, his family organized a special ceremony to honor him.

Family’s Heartfelt Messages

His mother, Charan Kaur, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She stated, “We remember you, dear son Sidhu. We will never forget you, and your memory will always be alive in our hearts. This day is written in black ink in history.”

His father, Sardar Balkaur Singh Sidhu, also posted a picture of his son, appealing for justice with the hashtag #JusticeForSidhuMoosewala. Expressing his disappointment and frustration over the delayed justice, he remarked, “Justice has become a distant hope.”

Bittersweet Turn of Events

In a bittersweet turn of events, Sidhu Moosewala’s parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, have recently welcomed their second son, named Shubhdeep, in memory of their late son.
