LONDON: Pakistani superstar Fahad Mustafa on Wednesday is honoured with two awards by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords in the United Kingdom (UK) for his remarkable contributions to entertainment and cultural exchange.
During the event, he received two major awards: the Diversity Impact Award for uniting communities and inspiring audiences through his exceptional storytelling, and the Cultural Impact Award for promoting diversity and fostering cultural understanding through media.
The ceremony, hosted by prominent figures including Member of Parliament (MPs) Naz Shah, Afzal Khan, and Lord Wajid Khan, brought together leading members of the British Pakistani community from various fields such as business, sports, and media.
The event was organised by Multicultural UK, which highlighted Mustafa’s influence on global audiences, especially through his record-breaking show Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, which garnered over a billion views worldwide.
Shanza Raja, director of Multicultural UK, praised Fahad Mustafa’s talent and widespread appeal, drawing comparisons to Hollywood icons like Ryan Reynolds and Idris Elba. “This evening celebrates storytelling and representation, reminding us of the power of South Asian talent in uniting communities worldwide,” she said.
