WEB DESK: Renowned Pakistani showbiz actress Kubra Khan says that her parents live in London, but she came to Pakistan for work.

In an exclusive interview with Jang, Kubra Khan shared that she gained popularity from playing the character ‘Hina’ in director Nabeel Qureshi’s 2014 film ‘Na Maloom Afraad.’ Following this, she also worked in the Bollywood film ‘Welcome to Karachi.’ In 2018, two of her films were released: ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’ and ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2.’

The actress further mentioned that her role as ‘Sara’ in Geo TV’s superhit drama ‘Khuda Aur Mohabbat’ established her identity, and her performance in another Geo drama ‘Jannat Se Aagay’ was also appreciated.

She stated that to bring life back to Pakistani cinemas, moviegoers need to leave their homes. If we do not support our films, then we should not complain either.

Kubra Khan acknowledged that while fewer good films are being made, we still need to give our films a chance to revive the cinemas.

She highlighted that our lives already have enough sadness, so we need to create films filled with joy. Films based on interesting topics are liked, so even serious subjects can be presented in a light-hearted manner. In short, films should make us laugh, cry, and sometimes even want to dance.

She revealed that her new film ‘Abhi’ is releasing on Eid-ul-Adha and includes six songs.

The actress shared that she has been passionate about dancing since childhood. She used to dance in front of the mirror and is a huge fan of Madhuri Dixit, believing no one can dance like her.
