Renowned Pakistani actor Bushra Ansari has taken down a video in which she had expressed her anger and called for a thorough investigation into the alleged rape case at Punjab college, which the provincial government dismissed as “fabricated.”

In the now-removed Instagram video, Ansari expressed frustration over the authorities’ handling of the situation, backing the students protesting the matter and demanding that their concerns be taken seriously.

“Thousands of students cannot be lying,” she stated, highlighting that the claims shouldn’t be dismissed as a misunderstanding.

Ansari also mourned the alleged incident, expressing empathy for those affected and voicing the frustration of many who feel powerless in the face of repeated reports of such cases.

“For how long can we sit and tolerate this? Please do something and make an example out of this,” she had urged, calling for swift action and justice.

Video’s removal raises questions

However, following her public plea, Ansari quietly removed the video from her social media, leaving many to speculate on the reasons behind the decision.

Despite the video’s removal, her earlier stance has amplified calls for transparency and accountability in the investigation, with many still resonating with her message.
