WEB DESK: Senior Pakistani actor Behroz Sabzwari has stirred controversy with claims that he has consumed alcohol with former Prime Minister Imran Khan on several occasions, but Khan never exceeded a single drink.

Speaking on the ‘FHM Podcast,’ Sabzwari asserted, “In the end, the truth always prevails. Prisoner number 804 will win, you can write it down, because he is truthful.” The actor highlighted his close association with Khan, stating, “I spent 24 years with Imran Khan at the Shaukat Khanum [hospital].”

Sabzwari recounted a period when Khan’s political entry to Karachi was banned from 2007 to 2008 due to criticisms of MQM founder Altaf Hussain. He noted Khan’s lack of flexibility and agreed with the former prime minister’s stance on the Karachi-based party.

Regarding allegations of Khan’s cocaine use, Sabzwari stated, “The other allegation against him [Khan] is that he takes cocaine. I have drunk alcohol with him several times, but Khan Sahib never had more than one drink.”

The FHM podcast episode containing Sabzwari’s statements quickly gained traction on social media before being removed from YouTube within 24 hours of its upload. This is not the first time Sabzwari’s comments have sparked controversy; his previous remarks on women riding motorcycles during an interview with Nadir Ali’s podcast also drew criticism.
