MUMBAI: Get ready for a Bollywood spy duo unlike any other! Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh are joining forces for YRF’s action-packed spy universe film, titled “Alpha.” This universe is already a star-studded playground for Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Deepika Padukone, and now Alia and Sharvari are carving their own space with a standalone movie. YRF officially announced the project on Friday, June 5th.
Both leading ladies are going above and beyond for their roles. To transform into formidable super soldiers, Alia has been undergoing a rigorous two-month training program with specialists. This dedication extends to filming, which YRF confirmed has begun with the cryptic tweet, “The #ALPHA girls are here.”

While plot details are under wraps, a source revealed that director Shiv Rawail has meticulously planned some intense fight sequences for the initial filming stage. The action goes global too! Alia and Sharvari’s characters will embark on a mission that takes them from Mumbai to the United Kingdom. There, they’ll meet their mentor, played by the legendary Anil Kapoor.
“Alpha” promises to be a major project for both Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. But that’s not all they have on their plates. Alia’s upcoming lineup includes Vasan Bala’s “Jigra,” releasing in October 2024, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic period drama “Love & War,” slated for Christmas 2025.
