Transport fares in Lahore have been lowered by 2 per cent following the reduction in fuel prices. This adjustment affects both passenger and goods transport services.

For intercity travel, fares have been decreased by Rs30 to Rs100. Specifically, the fare from Lahore to Karachi has been reduced from Rs6,450 to Rs6,350. The fare to Rawalpindi is now Rs1,930, down from Rs2,000, while travel to Peshawar will now cost Rs2,400, reduced from Rs2,500.

Moreover, fares for travel to Quetta and Loralai have been adjusted to Rs3,400 and Rs2,750, respectively. The fare to Murree has been reduced from Rs2,600 to Rs2,500. Additionally, the fare to Faisalabad is now Rs980, down from Rs1,003, and the fare to Multan has been set at Rs1,750.

Goods transporters in Lahore have also announced a 2 per cent reduction in freight charges. These fare adjustments will come into effect tonight at midnight, as confirmed by local transport providers.
