Lahore Garisson visit: COAS vows justice for May 9 tragedy, addresses digital terrorism

General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Lahore Garrison today. He laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument, paying tribute to the Shuhada who sacrificed their lives.

Briefing on Operational Preparedness

Given a detailed briefing on the formation’s operational preparedness, COAS then addressed the Garrison officers and soldiers at Corps Headquarters. He praised their services and professionalism, highlighting the challenges posed by digital terrorism.

Black Day in History

COAS emphasized May 9 as a black day when miscreants attacked state symbols. He condemned the orchestrated violence and subsequent attempts to twist the narrative.

He underscored the accountability of those involved in organized violence, ensuring justice. COAS reassured respecting Shuhada and their families while holding perpetrators accountable according to the law.

Inauguration of Jinnah Library

Later, COAS inaugurated Jinnah Library at Lahore Garrison, symbolizing resilience against destructive forces and honoring Quaid’s memory.

On arrival, COAS was received by Commander Lahore Corps.
