KP Govt’s Helicopter to be Converted into Air Ambulance

The provincial authorities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are all set to convert one of the two helicopters of the provincial government into an air ambulance following the order of CM Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

According to an official statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, CM Gandapur ordered the officials to prepare a proposal for converting the Ml-17 helicopter into an air ambulance. Meanwhile, the Ecureuil AS 350 83 helicopter will be used for official purposes.

Furthermore, the provincial cabinet also approved amendments to the NWFP Ministers Salaries, Allowances and Privileges Act, 1975. The official statement clarified that the amendments were made to “facilitate [the provision of] accommodation for the ministers due to the shortage of government residences and the unavailability of rented homes as per the rates fixed in the Act.”

Adviser to the chief minister on information and public relations Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif said that the cabinet decided to provide Rs200,000 to ministers without official residences in Peshawar to cover their house rent.
