The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has completed all necessary work to launch the interest-free Ehsaas Loan scheme, under which loans of up to five years will be provided.
According to the details, these loans will be interest-free and aimed at supporting small businesses and housing construction.
In this regard, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Muzamil Aslam presided over an important meeting at the Civil Secretariat, which was attended by Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali, Special Assistant to the CM for Technical Education and Vocational Training Tufail Anjum, Secretary of Zakat Nazar Hussain Shah, and other relevant stakeholders.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Advisor Muzamil Aslam emphasized that concerned authorities must finalise their memorandums of understanding (MOUs) for the Ehsaas Loan Scheme by the end of this month.
“The Ehsaas Loan Scheme is the first and largest initiative of its kind in Pakistan,” he noted. CM Advisor added that the scheme has the support of the Akhuwat Foundation in providing these interest-free loans to the public.
He further said that “the loan scheme is a continuation of the loan program initiated in 2022 by the previous PTI government.” The Ehsaas Loan Scheme will create new business opportunities, generate employment, and help eradicate poverty in the province.
