Adviser to the Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhr Jahan has announced a reward of Rs0.5 million (Rs 5 lac) for Aamir Khan, a Swat Taekwondo athlete who recently won a gold medal in international competitions held in Thailand.

He praised Aamir Khan for bringing international recognition to KP and for presenting a positive image of Pakistan and the Pakhtun community abroad.

“Aamir Khan’s achievement has earned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa honour on the global stage, and we are immensely proud of his success,” Jahan said.

In addition to the monetary reward, the provincial government will provide Aamir Khan with necessary training equipment, facilities, and support for international competitions, including air tickets.

Khan won a gold medal in the 7th International Taekwondo Championship held in Bangkok.
