PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Department (ACD) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Atif Khan to record his statement regarding corruption allegations and misuse of authority.
Atif Khan, who is a senior leader and considered close to the jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, served as tourism and education minister in Pervez Khattak and Mehmood Khan cabinet.
He was elected to the National Assembly after winning the 2024 general election against Awami National Party senior leader and former Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti.
According to the notice, the complaint against Atif Khan carrying allegation of corruption and misuse of authority in MalamJabba Project. Therefore, he has been directed to appear before the inquiry officer on November 12 at the Directorate of ACE Peshawar.
