KARACHI: Pakistan’s Kishmala Talat has earned the rank of being Asia’s second-best female shooter in the women’s 10m air pistol category.
According to the latest annual rankings from the Asian Shooting Confederation, Talat scored 1,350 points, placing her just behind India’s Esha Singh, who leads with 1,500 points.
In the women’s 25m pistol event, Talat is ranked 29th.
Expressing her joy and gratitude, Talat said, “I feel deeply honoured and thankful to everyone who has supported me along the way.”
Looking ahead, Talat wanted to focus on improving her performance in the coming year. “With my sights set on 2025, I’m aiming for new goals. I’m eager to continue training, learning, and pushing my limits to represent Pakistan with pride and honour,” she added.

The 21-year-old Talat was the only woman from Pakistani shooter to qualify directly for Paris Olympics, held earlier this year from July 26 to August 11.
Other Pakistani shooters have also made progress in the Asian rankings. Ghulam Joseph secured the seventh position in the men’s 25m rapid-fire category, while Bashir ranked 15th in the same event.
