The decision to launch the ‘Taleem Card’ project in Upper Chitral followed a briefing by Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, who visited the area after the glacier outburst. The chief minister requested both short and long-term plans to support the displaced population.
Following a commitment to the top female student from Shangla in the recent board exams, the chief minister has directed the education department to fast-track the establishment of a school in her district.
It was reported that the student had to travel long distances to attend a private school due to the lack of local educational facilities, yet she achieved top honors in her exams.
