In recognition of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s remarkable 25-year career in Bollywood, plans for a multi-city film festival have been reported by an Indian news outlet. The festival will pay tribute to the actress’s enduring legacy, showcasing some of her most celebrated performances on the big screen.
Kareena, a towering figure in Indian cinema, recently took on a new role both in front of and behind the camera in The Buckingham Murders, a crime thriller marking her debut as a producer. Released on 13 September 2024, the film has already begun generating significant buzz.
In The Buckingham Murders, Kareena plays Detective Jasmeet Bhamra, tasked with investigating the abduction of a child. Her performance, along with her new producer role, has been well-received.
To mark the film’s release, Kareena took to Instagram to share her pride in the project, writing: “As an actor, it’s the choices one makes… And I am very proud of this choice. Please watch this story and dive into my world of crime and drama.” She also shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the film.
Directed by Hansal Mehta, the movie also stars Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon, and Zain Hussain.
