KARACHI: In a swift operation, Karachi’s New Town Police have apprehended a key suspect involved in a series of robbery incidents under the guise of an online bike rider. The suspect, identified as Amjad Khan, is allegedly linked to a gang that exploited an online bike service to rob citizens across Karachi.

Authorities had been seeking Khan, along with his associates, in connection with multiple robbery cases. The New Town Police’s investigation led to the arrest of Khan, who is now in custody as further inquiries continue to dismantle the gang.

Previously, the Sindh Police’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) had executed an operation that resulted in the capture of a four-member gang involved in similar crimes.

The arrested individuals—Waqas, Kamran, Imran, and Muhammad Rehman—were found in possession of four pistols, two motorcycles, and helmets branded with the online bike service’s logo.

The ongoing investigation aims to uncover additional details about the gang’s operations and ensure the apprehension of all involved.
