KARACHI: A husband and wife selling sacrificial animals for Eid-ul-Adha in the Gulberg Chowrangi area of Karachi were arrested after a buyer exposed them for offering goats with artificial teeth.
The incident unfolded when a buyer inspecting the animals discovered that the teeth of the goats were artificial. The buyer removed the fake teeth, filmed the process, and posted the video on social media, bringing widespread attention to the deception.
According to the police, the plastic teeth were used to fill in incomplete teeth of the goats. Following the video’s circulation, officers from the Samanabad police station arrested the Karachi couple involved in selling the goats with fake teeth. Seven goats were also seized and brought to the police station.

The police stated that no previous complaints had been lodged regarding the sale of goats with artificial teeth. However, they took action after being informed about the incident and viewing the video evidence.
The detained traders claimed they had traveled from Hyderabad to Karachi to sell the animals and were unaware that the goats’ teeth were artificial.
