The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has made an important decision to combat cheating during exams. The board will introduce security barcodes on exam papers to tackle this issue effectively.

Chairman BIEK, Prof. Naseem Memon, highlighted the measures taken to prevent cheating in exams. “We have introduced security printing for the first time. Each paper will feature a barcode, enabling easy access to all candidate details,” he told a national daily.

The board has also launched an official website, along with Facebook and Instagram accounts, providing students easy access to exam-related information, mark sheets, certificates, and results from the comfort of their homes.

Furthermore, medical teams will be on standby during exams to assist students showing symptoms of heatstroke amid the severe weather. During the intermediate exams starting May 28, students will receive top-notch facilities.

For the first time, they’ll have access to first aid boxes and medications to prevent issues like nausea, fever, weakness, and electrolyte imbalance caused by the heatwave.

Students will find painkillers, anti-allergy tablets, glucose, vitamin C, and mineral water in these boxes, all provided free of charge.

Moreover, ambulances will be stationed outside examination centers for immediate assistance. Private institutions will assist the board in providing these facilities.
