Karachi electricity consumers are likely to see higher bills as K-Electric has decided to factor in three months’ worth of adjustments into August’s power tariff.
K-Electric has announced that it will add adjustments from the past three months to August’s bills, leading to higher charges for Karachi consumers.

The notification states that consumers will face an additional charge of Rs 3.22 per unit for last year’s three-month adjustment. August 2023 adjustments will add Rs 0.66 per unit, November 2023 adjustments will add Rs 1.77 per unit, and December 2023 adjustments will add Rs 0.79 per unit.
K-Electric consumers will also incur an additional Rs 0.93 per unit for adjustments from January to March 2024. Furthermore, pending adjustments for May and June 2024 are anticipated to increase costs further, with proposed increases of Rs 2.53 per unit for May and Rs 2.92 per unit for June.
