WEB DESK: Amidst reports of global music icons Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey performing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities, pop sensation Justin Bieber has touched down in India.
The singer is set to perform on Friday at the couple’s wedding celebrations. Social media buzzed on Thursday as pictures and videos of Bieber arriving in Mumbai emerged. Anant and Radhika’s nuptials are scheduled for July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.

In a video shared by paparazzi, Bieber’s car was seen in Mumbai, marking his presence in the city. Reports from India Today suggest that Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey are also in discussions with the Ambanis to perform at the wedding festivities. According to a Portuguese portal, LeoDias, Justin Bieber is being paid $10 million by the Ambani family for his performance.

The Ambani-Merchant wedding festivities
Recently, the Ambani and Merchant families hosted a grand mameru ceremony, a Gujarati tradition where the bride’s maternal uncle visits with sweets and gifts. The event was attended by notable family members, including Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Purnima Dalal, Akash Ambani and his wife Shloka, Anant and Radhika, and Isha Ambani with her husband Anand Piramal.
Videos showcased the Ambani residence adorned with red, pink, and orange flowers, golden lights, and a digital screen featuring caricatures of Anant and Radhika with the message “All the best.”
Unique wedding plans
One of the Anant-Radhika wedding highlights includes a chaat stall from the famous Kashi Chaat Bhandaar in Varanasi. Last month, Nita Ambani visited Varanasi to seek blessings at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and personally invited the shop owner, Rakesh Keshari, to the wedding after sampling various chaats at his establishment. Additionally, the family organised a mass wedding for the underprivileged on July 2 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar.
Timeline of festivities
The wedding invitation, which recently surfaced online, revealed the event’s detailed preparations. The main ceremonies will begin with the Shubh Vivah (wedding function) on July 12. Guests are encouraged to dress in traditional Indian attire to embrace the spirit of the occasion. Celebrations will continue with the Shubh Aashirwad on Saturday, July 13, and culminate with the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception on Sunday, July 14.
