WEB DESK: Renowned actor Javeria Saud has come under fire on social media after admitting she participated in a Coca-Cola TV commercial with her husband, despite her children’s objections over the brand’s connections to Israel.
Javeria and her husband, Saud Qasmi, revealed on a morning show that they recently filmed an advertisement for Coca-Cola, a company on the boycott list due to its operations in illegal Israeli settlements.
The “Baby Baji” actor explained that she was offered a lucrative deal by the multinational beverage company, which invited her family to Turkey for the shoot. “They offered good money and it is also beneficial for your career. When I told my children, they said they were boycotting the brand,” Javeria shared.
Respecting her children’s stance, Javeria informed the brand that her children would not participate due to the boycott. The company then invited her and Saud instead, arranging for other children to appear in the commercial.

After finalising the deal, her children expressed their disappointment. “You are boycotting, we aren’t. We can do the commercial,” Javeria responded.
Her children argued, “This is the least we could do for them. We don’t have money or the ability to fight to protect them, but this is the bare minimum we can do to show solidarity with them.” Throughout the shoot, they continued to voice their disapproval, sending messages shaming her “for participating in the commercial for money and not supporting the boycott.”
Amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza and heightened calls to boycott pro-Israel brands, netizens have criticised Javeria’s actions as “insensitive” and dismissive of the boycott movement.
Netizens have expressed strong discontent over Javeria Saud’s recent statements.
One user remarked, “If you put your kids in the position of Palestinian kids, I think it would be easy for you both either laugh at it or cry.???”
Another commented, “So in the end your morals do come with a price tag and a paid trip!”
Expressing disdain, another user stated, “It’s disgusting how they are laughing about it. They should’ve been ashamed. Risk comes from Allah, not from these brands. Shameless!”
In a critical tone, one user added, “How shamelessly she is saying this…..fitta mun.”
