Actress Javeria Saud has revealed that she penned the popular original soundtrack (OST) “Tera Mera Hai Pyar Amar” for the hit drama Ishq Murshid, but claims she was never credited for her contribution.

The actress made this disclosure during an appearance on a morning show on a private news channel, surprising many fans and industry insiders.

When asked why she wasn’t acknowledged for writing the song, which has become a hallmark of the globally popular drama, Saud responded with a laugh, saying, “I don’t know.” Despite the oversight, she remained composed, describing the lack of credit as a minor issue compared to other betrayals she has faced in her career.

Support from industry peers and reflection on challenges

During the interview, fellow guest Asma Abbas expressed her support, vowing to ensure Saud’s contribution was recognised. “From now on, I’ll make sure everyone knows you [Javeria] wrote that song,” Abbas said.

The show’s host, Madiha Naqvi, highlighted the contrast with the neighboring entertainment industry in India, where songwriters are often prominently credited when a song becomes a hit.

Reflecting on the situation, Saud explained that the experience had taught her valuable lessons. “I’ve learned from my mistakes and the betrayal I faced from a friend,” she said. “People become mature through their mistakes,” she added philosophically.

Drama’s success and Javeria’s perspective

Despite the lack of recognition for Ishq Murshid OST, Javeria Saud noted that her main focus remains on larger challenges within the showbiz industry. Directed by Farooq Rind and produced by Moomal Shunaid, Ishq Murshid has garnered immense popularity for its gripping storyline and impactful soundtrack, with the OST becoming a fan favorite.
