The issuance of birth and death certificates in Islamabad has been halted.
The Islamabad Municipal Corporation (MCI) owes NADRA 2 million rupees, leading NADRA to suspend its services due to non-payment.
Sources indicate that the service suspension is due to the incompetence of the Islamabad Municipal Corporation. Federal citizens have been facing a halt in the issuance of death and birth certificates for the past week.

Sources also revealed that NADRA suspended the MCI’s services due to non-payment, as MCI is in debt to NADRA by 2 million rupees. The suspension of the birth and death certificate service has caused difficulties for citizens.
