Islamabad Police arrest sons of former PM of Azad Kashmir, Tanveer Ilyas

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested the three sons of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.

In addition, Sardar Afif Saghir, the brother of Sardar Ahmad Saghir, Advisor to the Government of Azad Kashmir, was also detained within the jurisdiction of Kohsar Police Station.

Reports indicate that Ahmad Saghir Khan, Advisor to the Jail Department of Azad Kashmir, has also been taken into custody.

Furthermore, a case has been registered at Margalla Police Station by an individual named Shiraz Khan, alleging harassment and death threats against the sons of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan and the sons of the late Sardar Sagheer Chughtai.

In response, a spokesperson for Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has condemned the actions, stating that the police are harassing his family with baseless cases. They also dismissed the reports of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan’s arrest as unfounded.
