Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has alleged that Islamabad Police briefly detained PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja.
According to a statement issued by PTI, the police intercepted their vehicle near Sector H-13 and took both lawyers into custody.
Moreover, PTI workers clashed with police at Committee Chowk, Rawalpindi, leading to stone-pelting by protesters and subsequent tear gas shelling by the police, resulting in several arrests.

Later, the police released Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja but prevented them from traveling to Rawalpindi.
Barrister Gohar confirmed that they were detained briefly before being released.
It is noteworthy that PTI had announced a protest in Rawalpindi today, while the city’s administration enforced Section 144, closing all routes leading to Rawalpindi from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
