The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced new job openings for Law Clerk positions within its Research Centre for the year 2024. These roles, offered on a one-year contract basis, present a unique opportunity for recent law graduates to participate in legal and academic research at one of Pakistan’s top judicial institutions.

The IHC is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the Law Clerk job positions. The role involves conducting detailed legal and academic research and assisting the court in its legal proceedings. Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must possess a law degree recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, such as an LLB, J.D., or Bar-at-law, obtained either locally or internationally.
  • Applicants must have graduated within the past three years with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or an upper Second Class Honors (2.1) for UK degrees.
  • Candidates must be Pakistani citizens and not exceed 30 years of age as of the application closing date.

Interested candidates should submit the following documents:

  • A completed Application Form, available from the IHC Deputy Registrar’s office or the official website.
  • A detailed CV (maximum three pages).
  • A photocopy of their law degree(s).
  • Two reference letters: one from the applicant’s academic institution and another from their current employer, or if unemployed, an additional academic reference.

Applications must be addressed to the Registrar, IHC, and can be submitted by hand, via registered post or courier, or through email at research@ihc.gov.pk.

Application deadline:

The deadline for applications is August 19, 2024. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered, so applicants are advised to ensure all materials are complete and submitted on time.
