Iran has launched a significant missile strike on Israel, firing several ballistic missiles. The Israeli military claims that more than 200 missiles were fired from Iran, triggering sirens across occupied Jerusalem.
According to Israeli authorities, citizens have been instructed to seek shelter as the situation escalates. News agencies report that Israel has implemented emergency protocols in response.

Earlier, The New York Times cited Israeli and U.S. officials, indicating that Iran was preparing for an imminent attack. Israeli military spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, confirmed that the U.S. had warned Israel about the potential assault, keeping Israel and its allies on high alert.
Iran’s IRGC says attack on Israel’s response to killing of Nasrallah
Iran’s Fars news agency reports that the Revolutionary Guards have claimed responsibility for the missile attack currently targeting Israel.
According to their statement, the attack is in retaliation for the deaths of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed last week, and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who died earlier this year.
The statement further mentions that the missile strikes are also in response to the martyrdom of an IRGC commander, Nilforoshan, with the Guards stating that they aimed at the “heart of the occupied territories” in response to these incidents.
