WEB DESK: In a recent episode of his podcast “Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway,” WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker shared anecdotes about his colleague Mark Henry, shedding light on the wrestler’s notorious temper behind the scenes.

Reflecting on Henry’s formidable presence, Undertaker recalled moments when he would receive late-night phone calls from Henry, signalling trouble. “I’d be at home and my phone would ring, and it would be at night and it would be Mark, and I was like, ‘Oh s***,'” Undertaker recounted, alluding to Henry’s propensity for confrontations, often triggered by practical jokes.

Undertaker revealed that he received around 15 such calls from Henry throughout the years, with the latter expressing his intent to “kill somebody” over perceived slights. Despite understanding Henry’s frustrations, Undertaker would often counsel him to “take a deep breath” and reconsider his actions.

The conversation delved into a well-documented incident from 2011, where Vince McMahon orchestrated a prank on Henry by having him wait alone in the ring for a post-show match. Henry’s subsequent rage, coupled with McMahon’s observation of it, inspired the creation of Henry’s “Hall of Pain” persona, leading to his reign as World Heavyweight Champion.

Undertaker hinted at the role he and Owen Hart played in diffusing such situations, suggesting that their intervention likely prevented dire consequences. This insight offers a glimpse into the complexities of backstage dynamics within the WWE.
