WEB DESK: The Indian blind cricket team has reportedly pulled out of the 2024 T20 World Cup for the blind, set to be held in Pakistan after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) denied clearance for the team to travel to the neighboring Asian country.

According to India Today, while the India blind cricket team did get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Sports Ministry, they were waiting for a confirmation from the government. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Pakistan from 23 November and 3 December.

Secretary of the Indian Blind Cricket Association Shailendra Yadav says that we are yet to receive the letter but now we have decided not to go to Pakistan based on the discussion.

Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Sultan Shah says that the Indian Blind Cricket Association has not said no, we have not been informed in writing yet.

Sultan Shah said that we do not know that he has decided to withdraw, the Blind T20 World Cup will be as per the schedule.
